Electrical Power Design Engineer Location: Alpharetta, GA | Hybrid Remote / Onsite | Travel ~25%

We're hiring a
Power-Focused Electrical Design Engineer to join a highly respected firm known for its

heavy industrial sector - including pipelines, refineries, and petrochemical facilities.
This is a
direct hire role with a flexible salary range of

What You'll Be Doing - Lead the development of comprehensive electrical design packages suitable for PE stamping and plan check submittals.
- Create and manage detailed documentation including:
- Load studies, single line diagrams, conduit/cable schedules
- Plot plans, lighting, grounding, and equipment installation details
- Bills of material and construction specifications
- Perform site walkdowns, factory acceptance testing, and commissioning support for power systems.
- Collaborate with project managers to maintain quality, budgets, and schedules.
- Support proposals, technical scoping, and cost estimation for new project opportunities.
- Provide occasional after-hours support to internal or external clients.
- Travel up to 25% as needed (including air travel) for site visits and client work.
Technical Experience We're Looking For - 5+ years of experience designing electrical systems for heavy industrial environments.

- Knowledgeable of the requirements detailed in National Electrical Code (NEC), IEEE 3000 Series (formerly known as color books), and API 500 (preferred)
- Proficiency with:
- AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel
- Power system modeling tools: ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower
- Relay settings: GE Multilin and SEL
- Experience with area classification drawings, motor schematics, and lightning protection is a plus.
- Strong technical communication and documentation skills are a must.
Education & Licensing - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- FE certification required.
