Job Title: Marine Dock Installer Technician

Job Description

This role involves building marinas by installing floating docks in bodies of water, following blueprints and under the guidance of a crew lead or project manager. The position emphasizes quality workmanship, with attention to detail and adherence to project standards. Projects include commercial and high-end residential docks, ranging from custom docks and decks to seawall repairs and concrete sleeving.

Responsibilities

• Shift: Monday - Friday / 7:30 - 4pm (Occasional OT)
• Pay: Dependant on experience $18-24/hr
• Operate machinery and equipment safely and effectively.
• Apply safety rules and techniques while working.
• Align and place floats in the correct order and position.
• Cut and install decking.
• Complete quality control walk-throughs.
• Lift up to 100 lbs.
• Work on physically demanding waterfront sites.

Essential Skills

• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Knowledge of reading blueprints.
• Expereince working with docking materials.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience with marine grade lumber and concrete pilings is a huge plus.
• Reliable transportation.

Work Environment

Work is conducted outside in the Florida heat, often in wet and muddy conditions. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4 pm, with occasional overtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
