Direct message the job poster from On Call Counsel Attorney + Legal Recruiter | cjohnson@oncallcounsel.com Job Title: Paralegal / Legal Secretary & Intake Coordinator (Temp-to-Hire) Location: San Jose, CA | In-person Hours: 8:30 AM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Compensation: $40+/hour (commensurate with experience) Start Date: ASAP Duration: Temp-to-Hire About the Role Our client, a busy plaintiff-side personal injury law firm, is seeking a skilled and versatile Paralegal or Legal Assistant/Secretary who can also serve as an Intake Coordinator. This position offers a great opportunity for a seasoned legal professional to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a client-first mindset. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys in personal injury matters Draft and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings Calendar and manage deadlines, court dates, and appointments Coordinate case files and maintain client records in case management systems Handle new client intake: respond to inquiries, gather preliminary information, and coordinate consultations Act as the first point of contact for potential clients, ensuring a positive and professional intake experience Maintain communication with clients, medical providers, and other third parties Support the legal team with discovery, demand letters, and trial preparation when necessary Qualifications 2+ years of experience in a law office setting required Personal Injury – Plaintiff experience is a must Strong understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and calendaring rules Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Comfortable working with clients and handling confidential information Proficiency with legal case management software and MS Office Suite Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment Interested applicants can email their resume to Chelsea Johnson at cjohnson@oncallcounsel.com!
