That’s why our team is looking to add a Senior Director, Chief of Staff. Role Expectations This Senior Director, Chief of Staff is a connector across the Global Workplace Services organization, operating as a strategic partner for the Managing Vice President and the Senior Leadership team. A successful candidate is great at balancing the big picture, strategic-thinking while tackling the tactical execution and recognizing overlaps in plans, processes, people, and many other facets of a functioning organization. The role will be accountable for building cohesion and continuity across the GWS organization, towers and leaders through: Leadership Support Serve as a trusted advisor, confidential thought partner, and act as a sounding board to the Managing Vice President of GWS, as well as Senior Leadership. Facilitate defining business priorities and drive goal-setting effort for the organization, inclusive of cascading information through the organization. Ensure the Managing Vice President of GWS and the leadership team’s time is focused on the highest leverage activities related to priorities. Manage difficult situations and hard conversations; showing a high level of discretion, professional maturity, resilience and adaptability. Team Enablement Provides leverage for the organization by driving management routines, best-practices and the health of the organization Develop and iterate management practices (Senior Leadership Team and Organization) to enable transparency, efficiency and effectiveness of the organization Prepare agendas, coordinate materials, facilitate management practices meetings Oversee initiatives that require central coordination and alignment with partners across the lines of business and the enterprise to provide well-managed delivery, including leadership team routines, large-format and executive meetings and events. Accountable for appreciation and recognition programs. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA: $264,300 - $301,700 for Sr. Director, Chief of StaffRichmond, VA: $240,300 - $274,300 for Sr. Director, Chief of Staff Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
