Are you a team player with a strong work ethic who enjoys working outdoors? Our tree climber position might be the perfect opportunity for you. You’ll be responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks assigned to you by the crew leader to support job assignments, including tree trimming, stump grinding, chipping, as well as climbing and ground person duties.

You’ll also learn important cabling and rigging techniques from experienced crew members on the job. The ideal candidate is physically capable of performing strenuous work at high heights in unfavorable weather conditions and has strong communication skills. Apply now!

Responsibilities

• Safely climb trees using appropriate techniques and equipment to perform trimming and pruning.
• Operate bucket trucks and other machinery as needed for tree care tasks.
• Utilize rigging techniques to lower branches safely and efficiently.
• Maintain equipment used in tree care operations, ensuring it is in good working condition.
• Collaborate with team members to execute landscaping projects effectively.
• Assist in lawn care and landscape maintenance activities as required.

Qualifications

• This job is open to applicants who do not have a high school diploma/GED.
• Proven experience in tree climbing, tree trimming, and general tree care practices.
• Familiarity with rigging techniques and safe operation of bucket trucks.
• Experience in horticulture or landscaping is preferred.
• Strong physical fitness and ability to work at heights safely.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to safety protocols.
